I am from Clinton and a graduate of Erskine College. Even Though I worked for South Carolina National Bank / Wachovia Bank for 18 years, I need to find a new avenue of work through self employment as a massage therapist. I graduated from Greenville Tech under the instruction of Caroline Talley-Porter in 2002 and have been a member of AMTA for 20 years.
The best decision I ever made was to become a committee member on the South Carolina Board of Massage Therapy. The next thing I know, I was recruited to be the treasurer/financial administrator for the chapter. I have enjoyed working with professionals in the massage industry.
I have a full time job in an office setting dealing with finances, but my love as a massage therapist and being on the SC Chapter Board keeps me engaged and enthusiastic about this profession
A native of Lexington, SC. I graduated with a BS in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of SC in 1989. I have worked as an OT primarily in mental health since then, and for the past nearly 28 years as Director of Occupational Therapy and Complementary/Integrative Health Services at the SC Dept of Mental Health. I became interested in what was then known as Alternative Therapy back in 1997.when I attended Duke University’s “Integrating Mind, Body, and Spirit in Medical Practice” Conference. After taking classes in Healing Touch Levels 1 (1999) and 2A (2002) as well as Myofascial Release in 2002, I decided to make a lateral education move and study massage therapy in 2003. After obtaining my SC Massage/Bodywork therapy license in 2004, I proposed and developed a bodywork therapy program to add to the OT department, of which I have been director since 1995.
I have provided a variety of different complementary/integrative therapies since then in this role such as geriatric massage, integrative reflexology, clinical neuromuscular therapy, compassionate touch, myofascial release, and energy work when appropriate. I obtained my certification in Integrative Reflexology early on from Claire Marie Miller. More recently I sought out in-depth education in aromatherapy and became a certified clinical aromatherapist from the Institute of Integrative Aromatherapy in 2018. In 2020 I provided a virtual introductory class about basic complementary therapies for the Occupational Therapy students at MUSC.
I have volunteered for AMTA-SC since 2014, when I was appointed to position of Secretary. I enjoy working with this fantastic group of massage therapy volunteers, and I look forward each year to our planning gatherings and the courses that we sponsor.
Owner of LMTCPT LLC, Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Educator of Infant Massage, National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner. Health and wellness has been my career focus for 15yrs.
I am a daughter, wife, mother, and caregiver in my family. When I'm not taking care of family or helping others feel better, I can be found at church volunteering or planning the next family get together.
Massage therapy has always been my passion and part of my upbringing. My parents introduced us to the therapeutic benefits as kids with sore shoulders thanks to heavy bookbags and many sports related injuries. Throughout the years it has helped with many activities of daily living.
I have been volunteering for AMTA SC since 2013. I began as website manager, then education chair, and currently board member. My favorite thing about volunteering is having wide range of colleagues to bounce ideas and treatment plans off of. Sometimes working for yourself or by yourself can be challenging and isolating. It's nice to feel apart of another family - my massage family!

As the owner of Carolina Structural Restoration Therapy, Greg helps many people who suffer from acute and chronic pain. Using advanced techniques involving soft-tissue releases, he treats back, head, neck, and shoulder pain and a host of other strain patterns.
Greg’s interest in the profession developed from his background as an athlete, particularly in triathlon. He has raced competitively throughout the U.S. and Europe. He competed in the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii in 1994 and 1996, one such qualification resulting from a sub-2-hour Olympic distance triathlon (1996). He is a twelve-time Ironman finisher, a triathlon and running coach, and a repeated USAT All-American. In addition, he has completed Boston, Atlanta, Tampa, and Disney marathons. Throughout this time, he constantly searched for the most effective ways to help himself recover from the injuries and setbacks that resulted from excessive training.
Greg has been a nationally certified massage therapist since 1997, a member of AMTA, and continues his quest to educate and help others. He delivers only the best of what truly helps the body. His mission is to expand each individual’s potential, whether in the massage therapy profession, athletics, personal growth, or overall wellness, for a better quality of life they deserve. He wants you to achieve your goals!
2023 marks my 25th year as a Licensed Massage Therapist in South Carolina.
I have also been a Professional AMTA member for 25 years. I became a Volunteer with my South Carolina Chapter on the Awards Committee, Social/Entertainment Committee & Meetings Coordinator Committee for 20 years & most recently Awards Chair for 10 years.
Along with the fact I’ll be married 45 years to my wonderful husband Alex, I can without a doubt say a success story only God could have engineered and continues to bless me in more ways than I can count.
My enthusiasm for the massage profession has grown exponentially since volunteering with this absolutely amazing group of people over these 20 years. We work for the betterment of our fellow therapists & provide affordable Continuing Education classes to our membership.
It's been totally fulfilling.
I’ve always known I wanted to be a Massage Therapist. When I was young, I saw first hand how Massage Therapy could help so many people. So I decided to attend Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in Charlotte, NC and graduated in March 2004. Soon after I moved to New York City and worked as a receptionist at the Palace Hotel in there Spa and Fitness Center. I learned very quickly the cooperate spa industry was very different from being your own boss. After that experience I moved back to York, SC and decided to work for myself and partnered with my mother Charlene and mother-in-law Vicki at Serenity Therapeutic Massage.
In September 2006 I married my high school sweetheart Chris Rose and made our office officially a family business. Soon after that I started volunteering with the American Massage Therapy Association South Carolina chapter (AMTA-SC). The AMTA-SC coordinates education events for massage therapists around the state. It’s great to meet other therapists from around the state and learn new techniques and make great friends. I served as the Social & Entertainment chair, Meetings Coordinator chair, 3rd VP, and was voted in as President in 2014. I finished my 2 year President term just in time for the birth of our son, Finn Rose and welcomed him into the Serenity family.
I now work a part time schedule so I can spend more time with my son. I appreciate all my clients who understand my limited schedule while we raise our son. I continue to volunteer in a smaller role with the AMTA-SC and I look forward to learning so much more so I can better help my clients.
Chad is a graduate of Southeastern College’s Professional Clinical Massage Therapy program. He lives with his husband Nathaniel and they have 2 boys together. He is the owner of The Body Mechanic Studio in Florence, SC.
Being a competitive swimmer for the majority of his life, Chad is continually working on identifying and treating muscle imbalances in athletes, gym goers and everyday people. Throughout his collegiate swimming career at the University of Georgia, Chad was partnered with many massage therapists and trainers which sparked his interest in healing nature of massage therapy. The amazing way their techniques relieved his muscles and kept him in peak athletic condition is what inspired him to help others through the power of massage.
I have enjoyed my career as a massage therapist for 32 years. A large majority of those years have been working with our SC State AMTA chapter working in many different positions. It has been my privilege to meet many of you and look forward to meeting even more. Never hesitate to come and introduce yourself to me at any AMTA-SC meeting
