Awards & Recognition

Chapter Meritorious Award

Sarah Schaffer

We are proud to celebrate Sarah Schaeffer, owner of The Body Works!, as the recipient of the 2026 Meritorious Award from the American Massage Therapy Association – South Carolina Chapter. With over 25 years as a Licensed Massage Therapist and more than a decade of dedicated volunteer service to the AMTA-SC chapter in multiple leadership roles, Sarah has made a lasting impact on both the profession and her community.

As the founder of The Body Works!, she has spent 20 years building a trusted body care practice in the Pee Dee region while also championing collaboration, education, and client-centered care. Her commitment extends far beyond the treatment room—from supporting research in pain management to serving on the board of the Pee Dee Coalition and leading community initiatives that have raised thousands for important causes.

Sarah’s passion, leadership, and heart for service truly embody the spirit of this award. We couldn’t be prouder—congratulations, Sarah!
